HOW THE WORK MOVES

A practical path forward.

01

Listen closely.

Understand the people, the current reality, and what a useful outcome looks like.

02

Make it concrete.

Define scope, priorities, ownership, and a practical path from here to there.

03

Build with care.

Implement, document, and validate the work against the job it needs to do.

04

Leave it usable.

Make handoffs, operating guidance, and the next decisions understandable.

02 / EXPERIENCE WITH A HUMAN FACE

Grey beard.
Sharp tools.
Still curious.

THE HUMAN BEHIND THE SYSTEMSRodney Rees / GeekTheGreyBeard

35 years of getting paid to solve technology problems—and a lasting belief that technology should help people do their best work.

Rodney moves between leadership teams, clinicians, vendors, technical teams, and the people using the systems every day. That range matters: a technically correct answer still has to work for the organization.

Rural healthcare is a deep area of experience, where resources are tight and continuity matters. The same practical approach serves small businesses, growing teams, and larger organizations across industries.

SELECTED CONSULTING EXPERIENCE / 2022–2024

From complex questions
to concrete next steps.

A few examples from Rodney’s work with AustinCSI (2022–2023) and Cognizant (2023–2024, Senior Consultant at manager level). These are prior consulting roles, not RASi client deliveries. RASi was founded in November 2023.

ACCEPTED & IN PRODUCTION

Make service virtualization available to developers.

Led service-virtualization work for DTV, beginning with an API-mocking proof of concept informed by application-team interviews. The POC covered approximately 250 endpoints across three APIs.

Rodney confirms the solution was accepted and placed into production as a catalog item available to all developers.

ASSESSMENT & ADVISORY

Plan a more dependable release process.

Worked on a six-person assessment team for a national door and window manufacturer. Developed 11 infrastructure recommendations covering environment consistency, infrastructure as code, containers, service virtualization, CI/CD, monitoring, and performance testing while retaining existing SaaS investments.

Recommendations and assessment; implementation and realized savings are not established.

IMPLEMENTED & COMPLETED EARLY

Carry vendor-risk work from proposal to completion.

Scoped ServiceNow vendor-risk work for a major telecom and entertainment provider. Coordinated two developers and prepared five delivery options with estimates, proposed timelines, and supporting visuals.

Rodney confirms the ServiceNow project was awarded, implemented, and completed early.

Selected experience is described to explain Rodney’s role and the work performed. Organization names do not imply endorsement. Production and completion outcomes above reflect Rodney’s confirmation on October 26, 2026. Other end-client names are omitted.
